Reverend Edward Collins has been a resident of Harris County for 40 years.  He has been married to Ocie Collins for 28 years.  They have three children and one grandson.

He is a native of Bryan and College, Texas.  The reverend holds degrees in Bachelor of Theology, Bachelor of Divinity and Doctor of Divinity from Silver Union Baptist Seminary in Birmingham, Alabama.

Rev. Collins has been the pastoral leader of Home Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church located at 7104 Homestead Road for 34 years.  He is an officer of the Northeast Harris County Minister's Alliance and a member of Community Civic Clubs, Harris County Hospital District Advisory Council and YMCA Board of Managers.  He is also a Minister Mentor in school awards for North Forest ISD.
