Typically, cases in this program, if unresolved in mediation, will be referred to private attorneys or the Texas Education Agency.

Most cases mediated in this program are referred to the DRC by attorneys or schools.

Participants in these cases typically involve the child, the child’s parents, the parents’ attorney, the school diagnostician, the school principal, and the school district’s attorney.

Mediations are conducted at the DRC offices and scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
