JOB TITLE:              Corrections Officer

DEPARTMENT:      Community Supervision & Corrections

Residential Programs

HOURS:                     Various Shifts / 40 Hours per Week

SALARY:                  $2,032.00 per Month

                                    Commensurate With Experience

            Based on 26 Pay Periods

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.  Bachelor’s or associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field is preferred. Prefer residential experience with client supervision in a correctional, hospital, law enforcement or military setting. 

JOB SKILLS: A valid driver's license is required for a background check. (Must obtain a Texas driver’s license before date of hire) Applicant must have a good driving record. (Applicant must be willing and able to work any shift; day or night, weekends and holidays, as required.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Responsible for the training, security, supervision, and general welfare probationers in a residential facility.  Willing and able to work outdoors in various types of weather conditions. 

Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check.
