JOB TITLE:              Paramedic

 

DEPARTMENT:      Community Supervision & Corrections

 

HOURS:                     40-Hours /Various Shifts / Flexible / Possible Weekends & Holidays

 

SALARY:                  Commensurate with Experience

                                    Based on 26 Pay Periods

 

 

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and a graduate of an EMT-Paramedic program are required.

 

EXPERIENCE:  One (1) year paid or volunteer experience as a paramedic with a 911 provider is preferred.

 

JOB SKILLS:  National Registry and/or DSHS E.M.T. – Paramedic Certification and CPR certifications are required. A valid driver's license or ID is required. (Must obtain a Texas driver’s license before date of hire)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:  The position will require the successful candidate to triage and treat minor to acute illnesses in a clinical environment.

 

PROOF OF PARAMEDIC AND CPR CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSE IS REQUIRED.

 

EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT ON PASSING A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.

 

POSITION IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
