JOB TITLE:              Operator

 

DEPARTMENT:      Precinct One -

                                    Hike & Bike Crew

 

HOURS:                     7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

                                    Monday - Friday

 

SALARY:                  $10.00 per Hour

                                    Based on 26 Pay Periods

 

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year experience in grounds maintenance and operating mowing equipment is preferred.

 

JOB SKILLS: A Texas driver's license and a safe driving record are required.  The successful candidate must obtain a Texas Commercial Driver’s License, Class “B within 3 months of hire date. Good knowledge of tools, asphalt construction and maintenance materials, equipment and procedures are required to perform tasks.  Must possess skills to operate tractor, mowing and other power equipment.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Follows written and oral instructions.  Participates in construction, maintenance and upkeep of grounds, paths and facilities along hike and bike trails and other areas assigned and supervised by the Hike and Bike Manager. Handles paint and other chemicals.  Drives tractors and heavy equipment.  Performs related work as assigned. 

 

PHYSICAL: While performing these duties, employee stands, walks, uses hands, handles tools or controls; reaches with hands and arms and stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls.  Climbs or balances. ENVIRO: Regularly works near moving mechanical parts in and outside weather conditions and exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

 

EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON PASSING A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.

 

POSITION IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
