JOB TITLE:               Herbicide Operator

DEPARTMENT:       Precinct Two

HOURS:                     40 Hours per Week, Flexible, As Assigned

                                    Emergencies May Require Additional Hours

SALARY:                   Will Be Discussed During Departmental Interview

                                    Based On 26 Pay Periods

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  Two years experience in road & bridge maintenance or related skills are preferred.

JOB SKILLS:  Must have a current Herbicide License. A valid driver’s license is required. Must attain Class “B” CDL with tanker endorsement within 90 days of hire. Must possess the ability to work in inclement weather and confined areas.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Checks and maintains equipment daily.  Operates other equipment as assigned. Performs all jobs in a safe and timely manner. Maintains an Herbicide applicators license and attends annual required training. Lifts, bends, climbs stairs, ladders and stands for extended periods of time. Performs other duties as assigned.
