JOB TITLE:               Bus Driver – Part Time

DEPARTMENT:       Precinct Two

                                    Wade Road - Baytown, Texas

HOURS:                     Maximum 1040 Variable Hours

Emergencies May Require Additional Hours

SALARY:                   Will Be Discussed During Departmental Department

                                    Based On 26 Pay Periods

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:  Some experience driving a bus or comparable vehicle is required.

JOB SKILLS: Must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) “Class B” with (P) passenger endorsement, and a good driving record. Must obtain CPR/First Aide certification within one month of hire date, and Emergency Care Attendant State Certification within six months.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Transports senior citizens daily. Works well with public and staff members. Drives bus for extended periods of time. Provides safety and well being of passengers. Drives safely, defensively at all times. Assists at the East Harris County Senior Citizen Program functions as needed.  Inspects equipment (bus, medical supplies, etc.) and services as needed. Bus driver is familiar with pickup locations and group’s itinerary. Completes daily trip/inspection reports. Wears proper uniform at all times. Lifts 50+ lbs., bends, climbs stairs, ladders and stands for extended periods of time. Performs all jobs in a safe and timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
