Approximately 1,854 miles of roads and 24,211 feet of bridges are maintained by the Precinct's Road and Bridge Division.

Seven (7) independent school districts provide elementary and secondary education services in Precinct Three. Two (2) community college systems have campuses in the Precinct. Residents have easy access to numerous private and state universities, law schools, and medical schools. In addition, the Precinct operates an award winning education center for senior citizens in cooperation with area non-profit organizations and universities.
