Requirements of an applicantTop

In the two years preceding the date a license application is filed, the applicant must have at least one year of continuous work experience in the bail bond business; and, have completed at least eight hours of:

1) continuing legal education in criminal law courses; or, 
2) bail bond law courses that are approved by the State Bar of Texas and offered by an institution of higher education accredited by the state.

New applicationsTop

New applications must be submitted thirty (30) days prior to the meeting and accompanied with the required $500 fee.

 

Renewal applicationsTop

Renewal applications must be submitted thirty one (31) days prior to the renewal date for the license and accompanied with the required $500 fee.

 

Agenda ItemsTop
Other agenda items must be submitted in writing not less then ten (10) days prior to the meeting.  All agenda items must be submitted to the Sheriff's Department Bonding Division secretary.
