 Another
important component of Street Olympics is the Northeast
Adolescents Program (NEAP). In 1989, Commissioner Lee founded
this program to combat infant mortality in inner city
neighborhoods. Through the collaborative efforts of Harris
County Precinct One, the Houston Independent School District,
the Aldine Independent School District, the Baylor College of
Medicine Teen Clinics, the Harris County Health Department, and
the Harris County Hospital District, NEAP provides valuable
medical, educational and social services to area teens which are
strategically placed in area schools and community buildings.
NEAP services include a male outreach and support component with
male-specific clinical services. |
