The Precinct One Constable's Office is noted for its efficiency, courtesy, and dedication to the citizens of Harris County.  Constable Abercia and his department received a public service award from the Heights Chamber of Commerce for their donation of 10,000 hours of volunteer service to various charitable organizations in Houston in 1993.

Constable Abercia plans to continue that tradition and improve it by implementing human and physical resource plans that will lower the cost of operations as well as improve effectiveness of the office.
