| Currently Precinct One has six bike deputies patrolling the Downtown area providing support, security, traffic control and enforcement for the employees and visitors to Harris County’s courts and administrative buildings.
The bike deputies also have been assigned to assist in providing security and traffic control in the community, such as parades, fun runs and at community gatherings.

| The Precinct One Contract Deputy Program is designed to provide a highly visible, responsive, crime prevention-oriented neighborhood patrol function.
The main objectives of this program are crime prevention and immediate police services to the citizens in need. The service is provided to subdivisions and to homeowners associations within the city limits of Houston and in the unincorporated areas of Harris County, Texas.

| The function of District Patrol is to address traffic concerns and crime within Precinct One’s jurisdiction.
Through investigations and arrests involving misdemeanor and felony cases and traffic enforcement in school zones and areas where the community has alerted us, we hope to increase the safety and quality of life for area residents.
Additionally, the District Patrol provides assistance to other agencies and divisions within our department.

| In association with the Harris County Toll Road Authority and several other Constable Precincts, this agency provides law enforcement for the South Hardy Toll Road and the entire toll way system.
The Toll Road deputies work accidents, enforce traffic laws and provide emergency assistance to drivers using the toll way system.
Deputies also provide security for the Toll Plazas and for the employees working in the toll booths.
