The Precinct 6 "Beat the Heat" race car (above). The vehicle - outfitted with a powerful engine from Thunderbolt Engines and Transmission and a superb paint job from Kopriva Body Works - is used for racing events and is also available for show at youth and community functions.

THE GOALS OF BEAT THE HEAT |
|
- To Educate young people about the problems of illegal drugs and alchohol use, and the horrors of impaired driving.
|
- To Encourage young people to stay in school and be an achiever in life.
|
- To Promote a better understanding between the police and firefighters and the communities they serve.
|
- To Educate the general public about drag racing, and encourage everyone to race on the drag strip... NOT IN THE STREET.
