In November of 1999, Constable Gary L. Freeman was selected to participate in a task force created by Texas Department of Criminal Justice called F.U.G.I.N.E.T. Precinct Two was selected because of Constable Freeman's proactive cooperation with TDCJ in the past in working together in the apprehension of wanted parolees.

F.U.G.I.N.E.T. is a limited access program, which allows the participating agency to track active and wanted parolees in their area. Constable Freeman has assigned detectives to monitor the parolees in Precinct Two, paying particular attention to wanted parolees and sex offenders. Detectives make every effort to arrest the wanted parolees and then reports back to TDCJ about the arrest or any pertinent information.

In conjunction with F.U.G.I.N.E.T. Constable Freeman also works very closely with Harris County Sheriff's Office S.C.O.R. Unit regarding the registration of sex offenders in Precinct Two, Deputies from Precinct Two make periodic inspections of sex offenders homes to make sure that they do live in the house in which they are registered. Deputies also insure that the offender is in compliance with all of the rules and stipulations given to offender. deputies then report their findings to Sheriff's office.
