The Purchasing Agent is a County official appointed by a board made up of two Members of Commissioners Court and three State District Judges.  The appointment is for a two year term.  The Purchasing Agent supervises the competitive bidding process and makes award recommendations to Commissioners Court.  Additionally, the Purchasing Agent is responsible for all procurement not requiring the competitive bidding process and for maintaining the inventory of county personal property.
